The end of the trip
So, we came to Mendoza in Argentina, spent a over a week here. We went wine tasting on bikes and it was very enjoyable. The summer provides long days to know this city well. The Galloper is in the repair shop after completely losing the clutch system last week. We had to import a part from Chile so they can fix it.
Argentina
We crossed the cordillera to Argentina and started our short tour in the country in Salta. On the way, we lost a tire, completely as it disintegrated due to the rough gravel road we drove on for 5 hours. We say condors there.
Back to Chile
Now that we are back, we found the weather has changed significantly as we approach the summer months. Here in San Pedro, the desert is hotter during the day and definitely less cool at night. Yesterday we visited the Tatio Geisers, next to a volcano at 4300 meters above sea level, the temperature there at 5 am was -15 Celcius, so extremely cold. The landscape was rewarding though. Over 30 geisers steaming as the sun rose between the mountains. There, we had breakfast near the car with Frida and Sanna, two friends from Sweden
